Yeah, but people still like rock.

And I think astrology is more suitable for people with collections of cats.

Oi, Geetar, I have a cat and I think astrology is a load of rubbish.

Recent research does show that cat owners are better educated than dog ownersthough. So are you saying that a belief in astrology is correlated with better education? That might hold true for those studying arts subjects, I suppose... (ducks and runs away)

Maybe, but cat owners have to fetch their own slippers....

Yep. So we're fitter, too.

Well, after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, I've come up with some numbers. If you have one or two, it's just regular pet ownership; more than two, you're a bit of a cat lover. If you have four or more, you've got the makings of a collection.

What is it with cats and "cat people" ? I like cats myself, but I can't be bothered with actually owning one, let alone five or more of the beasts . I like our guinea pigs and the various other rodents and lagomorphs we've had over the years, but even two of those is enough for anyone at any given moment, I would hazard.

And while we're on the subject of cats, I knew of a girl in Miami who kept her dead cat in the freezer. One of its ears had falllen off from being taken out occasionally and stroked. A mate of mine there was actually thinking about going out with her, as she was in all other respects a bit of a hottie. But in the end, he just couldn't get past the thought of her sad little cryogenically-stored companion.

That's pretty weird, Geetar. But please tell me: was the cat dead before it was put in the freezer (slightly weird) or after (seriously weird)?

Allegedly- and disappointingly, perhaps, in the weirdo stakes- the cat had already shuffled off this mortal coil.

we had a dead mink(ermine? whichever the white ones are) in the freezer for awhile, until we could contact the Fish/Game Dept to find out what to do with it. but we never took it out and petted it.

I don't think you actually own cats ... they just live with you in return for food, occassionaly they will interact with you, but only enough to keep you interested. We have 2 .. I think they collected us !

I had a dog too ... He never fetched my slippers but he used to love chewing my dads shoes when he wasn't looking.
... it was like watching a peach jelly f##k a steel drum .. :D !
